Grabbed from various places:

The problem with LJ/DW: we all think we are so close, but really, we know nothing about each other. So I want you to ask me something you think you should know about me. Something that should be obvious, but you have no idea about. Ask away. Then post this in your journal and find out what people don't know about you.

(If I have missed anything over the past two weeks/a month/however long that you wanted to talk to me (or anyone) about, feel free to do so.)

Sixteen-seventeen years since I don't remember the precise time I joined fandom but it was sometime in 2001.

It was Neon Genesis Evangelion ^^

Do you live alone/with other people/with pets? If any, what kind of pets would you like to have?

I live with two flatmates. No pets for any of us, though we've all joked that we would like pokéball pets: you take them out to play with and cuddle and then put them away again so you don't have to look after them. If I get a pet (maybe a cat?) it'll be once I'm in a bigger apartment.

Et aussi un parisien! XD I mean, wasn't the tableau of the back streets of Paris supposed to be Baudelaire's greatest inspiration?

My favorite is... hmm... I'm thinking The Dispossessed. Maybe it's because I have Le Guin on my mind due to her recent passing, but it's in the best tradition of political speculative fiction and I love it.

A book I'm reading that I suspect will be a longtime favorite is 东周烈国志 (동주열국지), or Annals of the Kingdoms in the East Zhou Dynasty. I mean move over, Game of Thrones, this has everything--the epic sweep of geography and time, a vast array of characters with varied motivations and ambitions, the occasional horrific death or mutilation, gay and bisexual men, awful misogyny and racism. The Annals even have their own Cersei Lannister who fucks her brother and has her husband killed. She actually ends her days rather well with lots of lovers (one of them, a doctor, actually begs off and recommends another man because her appetite was draining him lmaoooo) and a devoted royal son.
